How to read this figure
Household price per kWh including taxes and levies, from Eurostat’s twice-yearly collection. National average across contracts — spot-price countries like Norway can swing far around it within a year. The United States is the exception in this field: it comes from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, which publishes cents per kWh, so we convert it to euros at the ECB reference rate. That makes the US figure move with the dollar even in a month when nothing changed at an American meter — read it as a comparison, not as an American electricity bill.
