Official statistics only. Every value on the atlas carries its source and observation date; this is the full ingestion registry — licences, formats, cadence — served straight from the data engine, so the page cannot drift from what actually runs. The counts are live: they say what each institution is carrying right now.

We deliberately never source from aggregators: Numbeo, Statista, Global Property Guide and Trading Economics are banned in code, enforced by tests. Where no free official source exists, the field stays empty rather than estimated — why some fields are blank.
